There are limits you what you can do on a conventional ski. But, the new V-Shape is anything but conventional. It's all about the taper ratio. A bigger taper lets the ski work with minimal power, so the ski is much easier to turn and much more responsive and supportive. A smaller taper ratio requires more power but this makes turns more precise and gives even greater stability. The V-Shape takes a good skier and makes them even better.
